St. Mary's Holy Name Society Meeting March 17th,
2008
The meeting began with a prayer
and pledge of allegiance led by President, Larry Stiller. There
were 9 members present plus Fr. Jim Bartnik
COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Treasurer Gary Gier reported a
balance of $1023.95. Cost of pizza for the December meeting
was $80.00 and $15.00 for the fruit tray.

The diocesan board will meet
at 7:30 pm St. Mary's members will meet at 6:30 pm Will Stang
will call George Gates about relish tray. Larry will get two
sheet pizzas, two bags of chips/pretzels, dip. See Feb 07 for
full list of tasks and in charge people. The banner and flag
need to be readied. Chekcing for condiments during the
Mother's Day breakfast can be done.

Mother's Day, May 11, is also
Holy Name Sunday, therefore, our Mass will be at 7:00 am Larry
will bring cups and matching napkins as last year, plus 8 oz.
styrafoam and 7 oz paper cups planning on 100 people. Geo.
Rapson will again bring six half-gallon 2% milk and 16 half-gallon
orange juice. Maurie will bring sausage, ham, rolls, butter,
pastry as last year (see Feb 07) Will will call George Gates
about one crate of 24 dz. eggs from Braymillers. Three pounds
of regular coffee, 3 lbs of decaf, 1 bx of decaf tea and hopefully,
Smokey's blender will appear at the proper time

$200 was decided upon for
Catholic Charities. A motion by Joe Turello, seconded by Duane
Bauer to this effect passed.

Allan Telaak reported $697.00
profit from the round/square dance last February. It was
agreed to divide the profit as: $300.00 to HSN and $397.00 to
the Sportsmen. Hall rental was waived. A motion to this
effect was offered by joe Turello, seconded by Will Stang and passed

A short discussion about St.
Mary's closing Mass centered around August 15, the Feast of the
Assumption
A motion by Joe Turello, seconded
by George Rapson passed.
