The meeting began with a prayer and pledge of allegiance led by President
Larry Stiller at 7:00 p.m. There were 11 members present.
A Motion to accept the previous meeting's minutes by
Joe Turello, seconded by Duane Bauer passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Treasurer Gary Gier reported a balance of
$1536.18.
- A thank you card from the Geir family for
Gary's father's Mass card was passed for the members to see
- Rib takeout dinner for April 30th was
discussed. Will Stang will order the ribs from Bob Zwack.
Allan Telaak will order the potatoes, butter, parsley, 9 bags coleslaw,
3 gal. dressing from Braymiller. George Gates will pick it up.
Larry will get 300 three part containers with covers. Coffee, hot
cups for the kitchen crew is planned. Serving to start at 11:00
a.m. Bulletin notice at least 2 weeks in advance will be arranged.
Area parishes will also be asked to announce the dinner in their
bulletins.
- Per capita dues of $42.00 will be paid next
month
- the Msgr. McGuire Scholarship Essay Contest
sponsored by the diocesan HNS has as this year's topic: LIVING the
CATHOLIC FAITH in TODAY'S WORLD. Entries due April 14th. St.
Mary's HNS will give $100, $75, $50 to the top three essays from our
parish. Open to all catholic students in their senior year.
- Our HNS Mass for the next three months will be
at 7:00 am. Schedule: Masses April 9, May 14, June 11;
Meetings: April 17, May 15, June 19
- Next meeting will be at 7:00 pm
- A motion to donate $100.00 to Catholic
Charities by Joe Turello, seconded by Duane Bauer passed.
- Larry will send a thank you card to Harold
Heier for his turkey donation to the turkey raffle and a card to Chuck
at Shurfine for a low price for the turkeys
