The meeting began at 7:00 pm with a prayer and pledge of allegiance led by President
Larry Stiller. Nine members were present.
A Motion by Gene Gates , seconded by Joe Turello to
approve the previous meeting minutes passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Treasurer Gary Gier reported a balance of
$1414.18
- The telephone tree will be ready for the next
meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Mike Schuster submitted the only essay contest
entry, and he will be awarded $100.00 at the next meeting
- Plans for the rib dinner for April 30th.
Larry bought 300 three compartment plates. We need pails to hold
the cooked potatoes from the previous night. George Gates will
pick up the supplies ordered by Alan Telaak. Three 50 lb potatoes
included.
NEW BUSINESS:
- As there were no candidates for the officers
positions a motion to retain the willing officers (all) for one year
(technically by a single vote of the secretary) by Joe Turello, seconded
by George Gates passed. Larry Stiller president, Gene Gates vice
president; Gary Gier treasurer; Ed Nowak secretary
- Mother's Day May 14 plans: a case (24
dozen) eggs, 8 oz. styrofoam cups for expected 120 people for coffee, 7
oz. plastic/paper cups for juice, 16 half gallon juice, 5 half gallon
regular milk, 8 lbs. butter, a 3 lb. can of regular and decaffeinated
coffee, a box of decaf tea, 15-18 of the one foot pastry flats
- Fr. Bartnik stopped by and was able to answer
some questions. We need size and brand of the fryers and curly
cutter we want to advertise int he diocesan purchasing department.
The servers will get passes to Fantasy Island.
