St. Mary's Parish Council Meeting May 22, 2006

The meeting was held consecutively with a Journey in Faith and Grace meeting.  The meeting began at 7:00 p.m.  Present were Larry Stiller, Kathy Gier, Maryanne Hauth, Rose Stang, Cindy Wierzba, Sue Wierzbic, Jinny Armstrong, Jackie Rachwal, Jacob Rachwal, Jim Franz, Diane Trippi, Fr. Jim Bartnik and guests John Wittmeyer, Rita Wittmeyer, Ted Rachwal, roe Schiavone.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

• A settlement was achieved with All American Sign Co. on May 2.  The parish will receive a refund of $3715.00 in 4 monthly installments.
   

• Re-plastering and repainting of the water damaged areas of the sanctuary, including the painting and reattachment of Mary's image which is on canvas plus the ceiling tiles int he choir loft will be paid by our insurance less $1000.00 deductible.  Correction of the problem with the organ is covered by warranty
   

• Some bricks fell out near the roof over the area of Mary's grotto and have been replaced
   

• The card party enjoyed a good turn out.
   

• The spaghetti dinner profit was $326.00
   

• Sue Wierzbic has accepted the position of DRE for the coming year
   

• We have 3 verbal indications of forth coming applications for far for the $1000.00 scholarship
   

• Another eucharistic minister is needed to be of service to the Eden Heights residents
   

• A strategic plan for our next mini cluster meeting with SS Peter & Paul, St. Bernadette, St. John the Baptist, Friday, June 2 at our parish center was created following the Parish Council meeing
