-
Sue Wierzbic furnished the
following on CCD: Religious education classes are going
extremely well. We have a wonderful staff of cathachists who
are dedicated and caring. Our family Mass and Social was
successful. It was suggested that we hol the social in the
vestibule of the church to increase attenance and it seemed to
attract more people. Thank you to all who participated in any
way.
-
A teaching Mass was requested
as was done in past years by Fr. Mark Holding it at a Children's
mass possibly in April is being worked on.
-
A request by some parents not
to hold CCD in the Parish Center basement was discussed.
Having two smaller classes in the hall is possible.
-
Father reported that the
chicken BBQ was less than last year and the pull tabs had to pay out
a lot, but that a special collection and especially the generous
donation of a parishioner, we came out a little ahead of last year.
The Charity Breakfast resulted in a profit of $3000.17. The
crowd was steady all morning. There were many visitors from
outside the parish. The event was widely advertised.
Our combined assessment regular/edu from the diocese will be
$2603.10. This will help to support the 14 diocesan schools.
Insulation of the hall roof over the kitchen is done. A new
ceiling will soon follow along with the plasterboard in the
basement. A new lot will e opened in the cemetery. They
will be 11 feet by 45 inches.
-

Andrew's church in Sloan; continental breakfast at 8:15 am. We
