About Me:
My name is Sherry Becker. I currently reside in Boston, New
York, approximately 2 miles from where St. Mary's East Eden Church is located
on Keller Road and East Eden. My family and I are current members of the
parish and have been living in this area for the past five years. My
parents went to St. Mary's East Eden and lived down the road on Keller
within walking distance from the church about 45 years ago (I was a
tot of 1 1/2 years old at the time). My husband, Jeff, has
recently learned that his ancestors are buried in the cemetery next
church next to St. Mary's Church.
St. Mary's East Eden holds a
wealth of history and it is my hope that through this site we can share that
history. In addition to the past history, St. Mary's East Eden is
a very active church with a great many people sharing their abilities and
talents. If you look to through the history pages assembled thus far, you
will see that contributions have been the driving force of St. Mary's East
Eden and this generosity continues through today.
Why
I Am Doing This:
We are taught in Church that God has provided us each
with special talents and that we should share these talents with others.
This website is where I feel I can share my talent and benefit St. Mary's East Eden, it's
community and all others wishing to learn more about this wonderful little
church nestled in the hills of beautiful East Eden, New York. I started
this site in February, 2003, with a vision of providing a service to
the church that could benefit the community.
About My Business:
I currently work a part time job and have had my business on the
side for several years. Since I am a busy mother of three, I
have not been able to put as much time as I would like to the
business, but am hoping that as my children grow older and more
independent, I will be able to devote more time. I enjoy doing
websites and I feel through this medium I can help small businesses
grow by providing affordable computing services. I am in
the process of rebuilding my website along with building my business.
I
believe that when small businesses thrive, the community thrives and
grows. . . I believe in Buffalo an love the area I like to
think that I can do my part to re-establish Buffalo as the great city
it once was.
