* PRAYER REQUEST OCTOBER 2008 *

Please keep our former pastor,
Father James Bartnik, in your prayers. He suffered a Stroke on Tuesday, September 30.

UPDATE October 9th, 2008
""I am happy to report that Father Jim has been moved out of the ICU into his own room. He still has a LONG way to go, but he is getting a little better every day. Thank you for your continued prayers for Father Jim."  Jacob Rachwal

Father Bartnik is currently the pastor of the joint parish community of St. John the Evangelist and St. Teresa of Avila, both in Buffalo. Please keep these parish communities in your prayers as well.

This effort is supported by the coalition of military chaplains and leaders

Recognizing that we are a special, unique creation of God, endowed
with gifts and talents and responding to God's constant
unconditional love of each person, St. Mary's will strive to discover
the gifts within our parish in order to put them at the service of our
families, parish, community and world.  We will do this through prayer,
education and enrichment programs.  We will attempt to be a loving,
caring community where everyone can find support and encouragement.
Therefore, we will be challenged to live our faith and grow in the love
of God and neighbor"
