St. Mary's Holy Name Society Meeting
March 19, 2007

The meeting began  with a prayer and pledge of allegiance led by President Larry Stiller.  There were 11  members present.  There were 10 members present.  A motion by Geo. Gates, seconded by Geo Rapson to accept the previous minutes passed

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • Treasurer Gary Geir reported a balance of $1220.68.  Pizza last meeting came to $33.00.
  • Fr. Bartnik reported one inquiry about the Msgr McGuire Essay contest.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Larry Stiller, Will Stang and Ed Nowak will serve during Stations next Friday, March 23.
  • Diocesan HNS meeting next April 16.  Snacks are itemized in Feb 07 minutes with the following additions:  Ed Nowak will bring chips and dip  A small pot of decaf coffee will be available.
  • Mothers Day breakfast plans:
    Larry will bring plates, 8 oz styrofoam cups, napkins, 7 oz. juice cups for 125 people.
    George Rapson will bring 16 half gallons orange juice and 6 half gallons of whole milk
    Maurie Dole with Gene Gates will bring 20 lbs. ham, 20 lb polish sausage, 8 lb butter 10 doz rolls, 15-18 pastry trays.
    George Gates will bring one crate 24 doz eggs.
    Three pounds regular and 3 lb decaf coffee and one box decaf tea by Geo. Rapson

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Possibly doing a rib dinner in the Fall was discussed and tabled.  Need to find a Bills away game starting at 4 pm not 1pm.
  • A $100.00 donation the catholic charities was agreed to without a motion
  • Fr. Bartnik pointed out the need to wait for a final blessing at Mass before leaving to fullfill the Sunday obligation.  Standing in the vestibule outside of the inner doors of the church also is not enough presence to qualify for satisfying the Holy Day of obligation

A motion by Joe Turello seconded by Geo. Rapsonn to adjourn passed
