| The meeting began with a prayer and pledge of allegiance led by President
Larry Stiller at 6:30 p.m. This was a joint meeting with the
diosesan HNS board. There were 16 St. Mary's members present and a
total of 30 with the board. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Addition to the Mother's Day jobs:
Maurie will bring pineapple for the ham. Ken Foltyniak will cook
the eggs. Rich Smith will bring a blender.
- Discussion about holding a rib dinner deferred
- Donation deferred
- Table setup for Mother's Day will be in place
from the previous Sunday's First Communion supper.
- Duane Bauer will make up some posters on a
computer for Mother's Day breakfast.
- Treasurer Gary Gier reported a balance of
$1,125.68
A motion to adjourn by Rich Smith seconded by
Joe Turello passed. . .
AT THE BOARD MEETING:
- There were 30 people present including St.
Mary's
- Members were urged to write letters to
sponsors of offensive programming
- Golf Tournament at Briarwood on
- Rogers Rd. July 23
- The national convention will be in King of
Prussia PA $200 registration fee
- Awards dinner Oct. 14
- Msgr McGuire essay contest deadline this
Friday April 20
- Marian tribute May 6 at cathedral at 3 pm
- St. Mary's is the largest HNS parish group
for routine meetings. The diocesan board would like to be
informed of activities at parishes. Fr. Bartnik supplied the
board with copies of our meeting notes for previous year.
- Members are urged to consider a weekend
retreat at St. Columbian this November 9, 10, 11 when a men's
retreat will be held.
