| The meeting began
with a prayer and pledge of allegiance led by president Larry Stiller at 7:00pm There were 12 members present.
A motion by Joe Turello seconded by George Gates to accept the previous
meeting's minutes as amended - the time of the diocesan board meeting
7:00pm, May 19, 2008 passed COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Treasurer Gary Gier reported a balance of
$1,093.95
OLD BUSINESS:
- Plans for Mother's Day were reviewed. In
addition to details written in last month's minutes, it was confirmed
that George Rapson will also get coffee and tea. Will Stang will
bring a backup blender, George Gates will bring the eggs from the best
source
- Plans for the diocesan board meeting were
firmed up. In addition to the tasks written up in last meetings
minutes, Duane Bauer will bring a fruit plate, we will me at 6:15 pm.
Maurie Cole will bring some limberger and onions, Ed Nowak will bring
cold cuts, cheeze, bread, mustard and ketchup. Larry will invite
HNS members from surrounding parishes and bring sausage pieces in honey
mustard sauce.
NEW BUSINESS:
- It was brought to our attention that
Immaculate Conception and St. Bernadette have Holy Name Societies.
Monies left over in the HNS will probably go to the cemetery fund.
- Father Jim told us that the final Mass of the
parish will probably be August 31st. Several surrounding parishes
have CCD programs and parents are free to choose one for the coming
year. Parish cemetery records will be secured in the cry room in
church as also minutes of all past HNS meetings.
