Religious Education Program SYLLABUS
Letter to Confirmation Candidates

PROGRAM GOALS:
Provide a Confirmation preparation program that supplies the candidates with insight into the Catholic faith community and its teachings.

PROGRAM FOCUS:
During the eight class meetings, we will be discussing a number of handouts that will be provided to the candidates.  These discussions are expected to be open and conversational.  Meaning, the course is not meant to be a lecture, but more of a discussion of the catholic faith as it impacts a confirmation candidate.  Given the frank and open nature of these discussions, we expect that personal items discussed in class will remain among the class participants, and that you respect the confidential nature of some of the discussions.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
The confirmation preparation classes will meet one Sunday every month from September through April, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  The retreat in February will begin at 2:00 pm, with Mass at 6:00 pm  Given the relatively small number of class meetings, we expect everyone to attend them completely
